This is one of the best healthy eating slideshows have seen. Direct, to the point with lots of great information. Yes, makes perfect sense, albeit may not be entirely easy to follow as NO healthy diet plan really is.
But, once we get used to it, it seems it’s almost impossible NOT to follow! As for all the expensive processed foods – convenience aside, medical bills, stuggles with weight and mood changes are very INcovenient.
Whole fortunes have been made on plying us with super processed salt, sugar and chemical laden food. Now its time for them to think about providing us with fresh, healthy, organic, natural, pure REAL food.
Someone mentioned on Newsvine (MSNBC Comments) that it’s simplistic to assume those on limited budgets will follow these directions.
I’m on a limited budget and find it very hard to do the simplest things, some times. But, when I was forced to completely change my diet, miracles happened. I was able to surge ahead.
So, there’s a catch 22… to eat well, you need to eat well! And, to eat well, you need to feel well enough to make the money to buy well!
What to do?
Idea below:
“What about finding ways to container garden? I’ve been experimenting with great results. You do have to water and care for your little container gardens, but it’s much easier and simpler than one might think.
There’s a low water usage one as well. If you have a sunny window or can get a UV lightbulb, it’s amazing what you can grow right in your room, apartment, house. It might be a good answer to save money while eating healthier.
And you’re so right… it seems so simplistic for people on limited budgets – but once they get started, perhaps they’ll find the wherewithal to tend to these little gardens if taught well.
Many of us are so overwhelmed with daily living – the thought of growing our own will seem daunting, if not impossible. But miracles do happen, and little by little, if your neighbors can do it, it might spur those who think they can’t, to “can!”
No use giving up… getting the word out is always worth the try! : ) “
