Seattle Pi Magazine consulted with some of their local experts and came up with a very nice article briefly describing the following list of alternative treatments.
The article described what these treatments were, who is likely to benefit, what to know before trying each therapy, and what credentials to look for when seeking a practitioner or doctor. We found the article informative, interesting and easy to read.
The 7 Therapies Discussed:
1. Acupuncture
2. Biofeedback
3. Detoxing
4. Homeopathy
5. Reiki
6. Spinal Manipulation
7. Watsu Pool Therapy
Notes: We personally have found Biofeedback to be quite effective with stress management although the article did not give it a mention.
We agree that it’s always a good idea to do a credentials check and even have a peek at the Better Business Bureau listing for your particular physician or practitioner.
However, there are a number of practitioners who are quite skilled, have very good pricing, and are very helpful although they may not have a BBB rating or lack some of the most comprehensive credentials.
Being informed, having a good rapport and trusting your practitioner as well as feeling confident in their abilities will help you successfully work out your health issues with your chosen professional.
