Some say that the sun is crucial for Vitamin D creation and absorption. Furthermore, Vitamin D levels are low in a high percentage of the population according to recent research data. On the other hand, sun can cause premature skin aging and skin cancers.
What to believe, and more importantly, what to do?
15 minutes a day of sun exposure does provide enough time for the skin to manufacture minute amounts of Vitamin D.
Perhaps moderation may be the answer. The best answer? Consult with your physician. Meanwhile, we intend to get very moderate sun exposure throughout the day – but more towards early morning or during sunset.
Seems to be the best of all worlds – soft morning light and beautiful glowy sunsets.
Of course we musn’t forget all the other requirements for healthy skin – fresh fruits and vegetables, preferably raw as possibly, plenty of exercise, fresh air and a happy, loving attitude.
