Dr. Robert Rowen has his idea which I shall discuss below. Meanwhile…

Here’s my guesses that first popped into my head:

Poptarts (they last forever out of the package)
Donuts (fat, sugar, oil, white flour, chemicals)
Hamburger (surprise meat with processed fat)
Processed cold cuts (more surprise meat)
Batter Fried Anything (like faux chick’n fingers)
Hotdogs (Same as coldcuts)
Soda (sugar, caffeine, MSG, acid, chemicals)
Sugar
Oil
Old Moldy Condiments…

So was I right, according to Dr. Rowen? No! The one thing he mentioned was not on the above list; POTATO CHIPS.

What? Potato Chips? How could that be? They’re not THAT bad, are they? Other than the fact that no one can eat just one… bag that is…

Dr. Rowen stated that potato chips act like a sugar in your body. You think you’re eating a sugar free “vegetable,” but, no. You’re actually eating a sweet. High carbohydrate foods such as chips quickly turn into glucose (a fundamental sugar) right in your bloodstream.

Additionally, chips have high levels of acrylamides which can cause inflammation in your macrophages. Who wants inflamed macrophages? I hear about that all day on the news!

Humor aside, macrophagic inflammation is a major cause of atherosclerosis progression. And to top it off, acrylamides bind to your hemoglobin which carries oxygen in your bloodstream. It’s oxygen your cells need, not acrylamides.

Is it no wonder that a study on 14 human volunteers who ate 5 ounces of chips per day had extremely high levels averaging 157 mg. of acrylamides in their bloodstream? The best rate is 0. You don’t want ANY toxins regularly infusing your bloodstream. Especially cancer inducing ones.

Here’s more bad news. Your potato chips are either fried, seasoned and baked with oil. Oils get rancid at the drop of a hat, no matter how many preservatives that are used.

The high heat will dissipate those preservatives which, in themselves, could create hazardous byproducts. And potatoes absorb impurities in oil while frying. You can clean oil by frying potatoes in them. Isn’t that handy? Not for your digestive system!

Perhaps you’re wondering
what’s so bad about rancid oil. Well, for one, it can spur the growth of cancer cells. How is that?

Well, rancidity occurs when oil becomes oxidized when exposed to oxygen in the air. This oxidation caused free radical formation. These free radicals can create HAVOC upon your intercellular components, down to your basic RNA and DNA.

Mutations and cellular degradation can occur, giving your body much more to worry about. Bombarded cells are much more likely to mutate into deformed and cancerous cells.

Your body already is working its hardest to negate as many environmental hazards as possible. Why give it so much more to do by eating rancid, fried foods?

Now here’s one thing to know
… if you have a very healthy body, chances are that potato chips will not be deadly for you. You will survive and your body will be able to repair and offset much free radical damage. But not all damage, and not for long. Even a healthy body can be overtaxed.

So, if you are looking further for a quicker and more uncomfortable demise, eat fried foods. Especially ones that are shipped and stored in bags.

If you are health compromised in any way, these fatty fried foods will really “take your cake” and take you down.

As Dr. Rowen puts it, “Fried foods are the foods that will kill you first.”

So do yourself a favor
. Avoid those fried foods… as much as possible!

Do you find that making decisions leaves you in a quandary? Does decision making hold you back while you mull over infinite possibilities? Here’s a great solution presented by Suzie Welch, wife of GM’s former Chief, Jack Welch in her new book, 10 10 10 – A Life Transforming Idea

We often think about what will please us in the short term while we neglect to consider how our decisions will affect us for the long term.

For example, we may decide to enjoy those extra pieces of cake because of the pleasure we derive in the “now” moment. However, in the long term, we continue to gain weight and feel miserable.

This is what the psychologists call, “hyperbolic discounting,” or, the grabbing for the immediate reward rather than putting off gratification for the sake of future reward.

Now there’s the opposite end of the pleasure spectrum as well. We sacrifice present happiness to the degree that we think only of the far off future.

For example, we neglect spending time with family and instead choose to work both day and night to save for retirement way off in the future. THEN, we will spend time with family, we say to ourselves.

Will the family be together and happy in the next 10 years if they didn’t spend much time with you? How can the opportunities arise again for those moments that can never be recaptured? Simply, they cannot.

But, Good News! There IS a Happy Medium…

One of these happy mediums can be derived from what Suzy Welch calls the 10 10 10 Strategy.

Think of it this way – Say that you have to make a difficult decision on whether to do something or not do it. Here are 3 questions to ask yourself.

The Three Questions

1. How will the option you choose affect you in the next 10 minutes?

2. How will it affect you in the next 10 months?

3. And how will your decision affect you, your loved ones, you whole life in the next 10 years?

The Next 10 Minutes…

For example, let’s say you want to buy that shiny new car. How will it feel to own it in the next 10 minutes? Will you feel on top of the world as you drive off the lot and show your friends?

Will your school mates or business associates be filled with awe, admiration, respect? Will that car help get you that girlfriend or boyfriend you always wanted?

The Next 10 Months…

Will that girlfriend or boyfriend stay with you because of that car? Is this car really the answer to all of your dreams? Will you be able to pay rent or mortgage fairly comfortably? Or will you have to make sacrifices that may be too costly?

In 10 months, will this car have contributed to your life, or brought your life down?

The Next 10 Years…

Then, there’s 10 years into the future. How will the impact of having purchased this car today affect your life 10 years from now? Did you have to give up other dreams, such as saving to buy another car that you REALLY wanted all along? Or did you have to give up taking that special class that would have propelled your career to a higher level?

Sometimes, something seems wonderful, at least for the next 10 minutes. But in 10 months, the excitement will have waned, and what was so pleasing for the moment then becomes a burden and a drain.

Or, because of an impetuous decision made today, you will have lost the opportunity to really have what you truly needed or wanted all along.

So, How Do You Weigh the Differences?

Suzy recommends considering the consequences in each of these 3 time frames. Then, base your final decision on what works best for all three.

Is it going to be easy? With practice, easier than you think. It’s all about finding a balance in all three. It’s about carefully weighing it out the repurcussions and consequences for today, next year, the next decade.

Think, is the instant gratification worth it? Or, if you put this off today for the sake of tomorrow, will it be moments, or something that you can never have again that will truly enrich your life in the long term?

Once In a Lifetime Moments…

For example, when you have children, it’s crucial to consider that special moments at certain ages that will never come again. The first steps, the first words, the first prom, those special hugs and comforts, the smiles and claps of wonder, love, joy and awe, shared together… these are the moments you will never forget, moments that happen only once in a lifetime.

If you miss them, say, in 10 years, how will you feel about it then?

On the other hand, if you neglect considering the future and only focus on the now, will you have a good job in 10 years? Will you be able to save enough for your retirement?

Balance…

It’s all about the balance. If today’s decision impacts each of the 3 time frames in a positive way more equally, chances are this will be the right decision for you.

What REALLY matters to you? What is TRULY valuable to you?

With practice, you will find your decisions becoming easier and easier, and you can reach decisions that are smarter, wiser, with least regrets as possible!

The Law of Attraction vs. the Law of Creation

But Ka stands out to me. For one thing, he follows one of the purest and most natural of diets. Why is this important?

For one thing, having clarity of thought is precipitated by a well functioning body and mind that is fueled and enhanced by the very best nutrition possible; the nutrition provided by fresh raw fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and sprouted grains.

Adhering to these dietary principles, Ka reflects healthy mind, spirit and body in physicality AND actions.

The Law of ATTRACTION – What Is It?
What is the Law of Attraction? Basically, it is a belief that is based upon the premise that like attracts like, or that similar types of energies attract one other.

The Law of Attraction, Feelings, Thinking
The Law of Attraction infers that when you feel about and think about something strongly, you are then likely to manifest it into your life. How is this?

It is by the very acts of thinking, concentrating, focussing on and FEELING the feelings of what you wish to experience in your life that your own mind and the Universe seem to conspire to make it so. Your thoughts have the power to attract what you are focussed upon.

This seems to work for both positive and negative. Therefore, focussing on, concentrating on the positives and what you truly want in life will help make your dreams come true for you.

You see, you DO have the power to manifest what you want in your life by using the power of your own imagination and ability to FEEL.

Sound unbelievable? Perhaps. But it works. This amazing power of your own mind is available to you.

So, How Do You Make This Work For Yourself?
First of all, think about what you are saying. Perhaps you say that you are rich, wealthy, safe, happy. But instead, you feel poor, insecure and angry.

How do you think your life is going to be able to reflect what you say, when your feelings are in such opposition?

It turns out that it’s likely your life will reflect your feelings more so than your words.

The Law of Attraction does work. What you need to do is stop this Ping Pong game of this going back and forth of making positive, affirming statements while feeling negative, hopeless, upsetting thoughts.

What Do You Do?
Restructure your thought patterns in SUCH a way that you constantly focus and REFOCUS on what you truly WANT to experience. Now, this will take a great deal of effort in the beginning….

Go back to the FEELINGS of being safe, empowered, abundant. Your mind will go back and forth in a ping pong game. This will need to happen for quite a while until the NEW EMOTIONAL PATTERNS are truly established and firmly anchored into your personality.

This is when the Law of Attraction becomes the Law of CREATION.

The Law of CREATION
The Law of Attraction can be considered a simplistic, more passive law. You think rich, your become rich. Your feel rich, your become rich.

In a way, there is truth to this. But there is a way to speed up the process and make the Law of Attraction work more quickly and intensely for yourself.

Taking Action
It starts with the emotional effort. Then it progresses to TAKING ACTION.

Let’s say that you want to create more money in your life. Where does it start?

It starts with feelings – feelings of abundance, that you are deserving of success. Then, you feel the feelings you would have if you were holding all the money you need in your hands. You feel the joy, the safety, the comfort, the security.

By focussing on what you REALLY, TRULY want in your life in detail and imagining having it, helpful people and situations will be drawn into your world as if by magic.

Your own mind and the power of the Universe and God have conspired to provide to you what you have wanted and felt so strongly about.

This is simply how the Universe and your own subconscious works on your behalf.

Now’s the Time
It’s NOW the time to ACT instantly without hesitation upon the hints and opportunities that the Universe is providing to you.

This is the moment when the Law of Attraction turns into the Law of Creation. It is the moment when you ACT upon your feelings and grab these opportunities and take advantage of them.

It’s not JUST about thinking about and feeling the feelings of having what you want… it’s ALSO about taking ACTION when these opportunites present themselves.

Your Actions Can Also Be INTERACTIONS
Your responsive actions do not have to be stiff, formal, regimented. They can also be in the form of INTERACTIONS with people and new circumstances. Everything will work together to help you to expand your horizons allowing you to explore new possibilities.

Suddenly, you may notice your world evolving with new energy flows and wave patterns. Now is the time to run with it! Move! Flow! Go with the new energies!

The situations in your life will evolve and rise to higher and higher levels until you are in the vibrational energy that you wish to be in. The world around you has become harmonious with the desires and wishes you want to experience.

Create Your Dreams… Feel Your Dreams… And You WILL Manifest Them with the Power of the Mind and the Universe.

Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr. reports that Olive Oil, in fact, ALL oil can be detrimental to your health and especially to your HEART.

To his suprise, Dr. Esselstyn discovered that certain foods seemed to prolong life, contribute to complete recovery, and even help restore veins and arteries to normal size after a heart attack, while other foods caused harm, hastening relapse and contributed to eventual complete coronary failure.

He was particularly surprised that foods such as avocados, vegetable oils, fats and nuts were particularly harmful.

What does this mean to the average individual who may not have coronary heart disease or heart problems?

All one can say is that a large number of physicians are drastically altering their diets after reviewing Dr. Esselstyn’s research. Below is a video, while below the video are the doctor’s dietary recommendations.

Here are the rules of Dr. Esselstyn’s program in its simplest form:

• You may not eat anything with a mother or a face (no meat, poultry, or fish).

• You cannot eat dairy products.

• You must not consume oil of any kind—not a drop. (Yes, you devotees of the Mediterranean Diet, that includes olive oil. See “>Chapter 10 of Dr. Esselstyn’s book)

• Generally, you cannot eat nuts or avocados.

You can eat a wonderful variety of delicious, nutrient-dense foods:

• All vegetables except avocado. Leafy green vegetables, root vegetables, veggies that are red, green, purple, orange, and yellow and everything in between

• All legumes—beans, peas, and lentils of all varieties.

• All whole grains and products, such as bread and pasta, that are made from them—as long as they do not contain added fats.

• All fruits.

Why? Because it works.

According to Dr. Esselstyn in the first continuous twelve-year study of the effects of nutrition in severely ill patients described in detail in his book, those who complied with his program achieved “total arrest of clinical progression and significant selective reversal of coronary artery disease.”

In fully compliant patients, he saw angina disappear in a few weeks and abnormal stress test results return to normal.

Furthermore, people retained health and vigor on a consistent basis with no noticeable causative adverse effects due to lack or meat, oils or fats.

This is an entertaining video about the sorts of toxic and carcinogenic chemicals that pervade common cosmetics and even baby products.

It will help you decide whether you need all those chemical compounds floating on your skin, lips and hair.

Chemical companies claim that the dosages are so small that they have little effect.

However, multiply that by daily usage of many products combined, and you have most people absorbing large dosages through skin, breath and ingestion.

You might just want to consider limiting your usage of cosmetics or finding chemical free alternatives.

Things to Do

Demand better products for you and your family. Tell the government to monitor toxic chemicals in your cosmetics. Currently, they do not. Surprising, isn’t it?

Reconsider whether you need all the products that you are using. Less is best!
