It’s highly recommended that High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) be eliminated from the diet.
This particular type of sweetener may be causing irreparable harm to children (and adults) through the over consumption of sodas, “fruit” drinks and other hidden food sources.
The following video is very enlightening as to why this is so.

Mark Bitman
“In this fiery and funny talk, New York Times food writer Mark Bittman weighs in on what’s wrong with the way we eat now (too much meat, too few plants; too much fast food, too little home cooking), and why it’s putting the entire planet at risk.”
The problem is augmented by the profit motive of corporations who thrive on the processing and chemicalization of food stuffs.
They are inured to the bottom line – mainly, profits. Corporations exist strictly to increase their bottom line.
The law recognizes corporations as “individuals” and “persons.” Unfortunately, corporations are devoid of conscience, caring, human decency characteristic of “real” individuals and persons.
Thus, corporations will do anything they can within the scope of the law to take healthy food stuffs and maximize it’s money making potential – mainly by huge increasing the levels of the cheapest and most addictive ingredients:
Worst Additive Offenders
MSG
Fats
Salt
Sugar
Starch
Chemical Flavorings
Chemical Colorings
GMO Corn Syrup Solids
GMO Corn Sweeteners
GMO Soy Products
GMO Soy Additives
Each of the above is extremely cheap, satisfying and filling, addictive, and/or craving-causative.
The more sugar you add, the more salt you can add without offending the taste buds. Both add considerable weight while being extremely cheap.
Very good for the bottom profit line.
Very BAD for the health of all those who eat these “foods.”
Worst Food Offenders
Fast Food
Processed Food
Boxed Food
“Instant” Food
Sweets
Baked Goods
Donuts
Hot Dogs
Hamburgers
French Fries
Processed Pizza (no real cheese)
Sugary milk
Soda
Breakfast boxed, bagged cereals
Chips
Snack Foods
Cookies
Candy
IN a word, Easy foods. Or, Instant foods.
The best foods to eat are:
Fresh vegetables, raw with a simple dressing
Fresh fruits, raw.
Whole grains steamed or sprouted, served raw or with a simple sauce.
Lean natural organic humanely raised meat, small amounts.
Occasional treats are fine, as long as they are “occasional.”
It’s that simple.
