This movie claims to show a link between "quantum biology" and our health/well-being. The movie categorically fails to deliver on that promise. There are no links to any published scientific research about "quantum biology" either on the DVD or the movie's website (thelivingmatrixmovie.com).

There are some clinical studies in the movie, but none of them ever speculate about the mechanism behind the healing. The movie is implying, "We don't understand how this works, therefore ... quantum physics must be involved!" That's not science; it's speculation.

One scene in the movie shows a DVM claiming that direction shifts in flocks of birds are "instantaneous" (and, therefore, quantum physics *must* be involved). This is not only speculation, it's bad speculation. Scientists have used high-speed photography to confirm that direction shifts in flocks are NOT instantaneous; they even describe how the individual birds coordinate the direction shifts in the flock.

I talk about this bad science in a small article: http://floatingbones.com/?p=171 . I've also posted a full review of the movie in http://floatingbones.com/?p=92 .

The truly disappointing thing is that many scientists are doing legitimate scientific research into all sorts of alternative health/healing modalities. This movie not only squandered an opportunity to speak of that real science; it has also tainted the entire discussion with its 90 minutes of speculation.

I give this movie zero stars.
