New research from Canada, Argentina, Brazil and other countries is showing that Vitamin D may play a crucial new part in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis patients.
It appears that taking high doses of the vitamin may be safe, and may lead to a reduction in the number of relapses for patients with MS.
ONe experiement indicated that taking as much as 4,000 IU of Vitamin D per day reduced MS relapse in over 40% of patients.
Doctors recommend more research be conducted to make sure that large doses of Vitamin D are proven safe. It is advisable to consult with your physician when taking large doses of any supplement.
