Do you crave fatty foods?
This may be due to Mother Nature and naturally occurring appetite enhancers in your body.
In a news release on July 4th, 2011, it was revealed that researchers at UC Irvine discovered why you may crave potato chips and french fries.
You have naturally occurring marijuana-like chemicals called endocannabinoids in your body.
These chemicals incite gluttinous eating behavior, especially fats.
Chips and Fries…
It turns out that as soon as you start eating a fatty carbohydrate like chips or french fries, your gut starts producing these chemicals that stimulate your craving for more and more fatty food.
Therefore, it’s very hard to resist NOT eating that whole bag of chips. Who can eat “just one?”
Why Is This?
In nature, fats are relatively rare. So when one has the opportunity to find fat to eat, the body goes into delicious overdrive. It believes you have discovered the motherlode of nutrition.
However, in today’s modern world, fats are common. But the body still believes that fats are rare and must be consumed whenever available.
This can lead to obesity, cancer, diabetes and more.
What To Do?
It’s important to resist these cravings for more fatty foods. Perhaps it may be best to avoid fatty chips and fries, period.
That’s why it’s so tempting to eat a whole bag of chips and super sized bags of Fries. Our bodies demand it!
